Amos House

A mother earns her high school equivalency diploma while her family has a warm, safe place to live. A battered wife and daughter find sanctuary and are able to re-build their lives. They are residents of Amos House, founded in 1986 to provide transitional housing for homeless families. This residential nonprofit helps its residents become independent, and able to sustain a sufficient working and living situation in permanent housing.

Athletes of Christ

Founded in Brazil in 1984, this international sports ministry reaches others with the Good News of Jesus through the universal language of sports. In Danbury, the ministry conducts weekly Bible study meetings and focuses on two annual events, a 5K walk/run in the spring, and a summer soccer camp for kids.
